Additionally, it builds upon the previous Los Angeles River Master Plan adopted by the County of Los Angeles in 1996.

City of Los Angeles Community Plan Program
As part of the recently established New Community Plan Program(NCPP), the Planning Department is studying the land use plans for nine of the City’s 35 communities. The purpose of this ongoing program is to ensure that these plans are kept up-to-date so they can effectively guide growth and development in the City’s neighborhoods.
