Civic Engagement Specialist
Erick specializes in direct community engagement with community gardens/urban farms to foster political, economic, and energy independence. Erick uses Geographic Information Systems (G.I.S.), remote sensing, and civic engagement to build urban and regional integration models.
Erick seeks to empower youth to change their communities through political and civic awareness affecting their environments. His research interests include creating viable solutions for urban environments through solar panels, water management techniques, and environmental activism.
Erick received his B.A. in Geography with a minor in Urban Regional Studies from UCLA, where he founded a student organization called Team Green Bite.
